Joleen B. Brown, age 62, of City of Hays, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Brothers Tommy and Tim Pruett; daughters Tracy Jane Brown and Tanea Radel; son-in-law Matthew Radel and granddaughters Ciarra Sage Brown and Hailey Elizabeth Radel survive her. She was preceded in death by granddaughters Mercedes and MacKenzie.
Joleen was an employee of Hays County for 15 years and served on the City of Hays City Council for over 12 years, eight of those as Mayor.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to any and all medical personnel who went above and beyond to help Joleen. Due to Joleen’s love of children, the family requests that donations be made to Children’s Diabetes Fund in lieu of flowers.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 6, at Live Oak Cemetery.
