Shirley Groos Clark, 75, of Buda passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was born and raised in Kyle. She lived and raised her family in Buda with her husband of 54 years, Cecil Allan Clark. She will be remembered as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her father Randolph Owen Groos, mother Alma Ann Saunders Groos, son Cecil Allan Clark Jr. and grandsons Clifton Wayne Henderson and Dustin Heath Henderson preceded Shirley in death.
She is survived by husband Cecil Allan Clark of Buda; sister Jo Gwendolyn Callison of Dripping Springs; daughters Debbie Lyons and husband Rex of Kyle, Donna Wallace of Kyle, Dena Henderson of Buda; sons Sammy Clark and wife Kandi of Kyle, Marty Clark and wife Debbie of Buda. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and known and loved as Granny. Shirley’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m, Saturday, February 6, at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel, Kyle. Burial service will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca.
