Elliot (Bud) Engvaldsen of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away Monday, July 18 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryann Engvaldsen. He is survived by his fiancé, Donna Schoettle, his two children, Ellie and husband Tim Warmington of Buda and Ronald Engvaldsen and wife Tina, of NY, his five grandchildren, Donna Pells (Mike Lovecraft), TJ Warmington and Josh Warmington (Robin), Ryan and Lauren Engvaldsen and one great-grandson Isaac Warmington.
Buddy (as he was called by his friends and family) loved life with a passion and always will be remembered for his sense of humor and his laughter. He loved golf, poker, football, hunting and fishing and left many great memories of all of those things. He loved his many friends and family dearly. He was loved and he will be sorely missed.
Buddy was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived mostly in the NY area until 1995 when he moved to Florida. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 18 years and remained a sailor at heart ‘til the end.
There was a “Celebration of Life” in Buddy’s honor July 23 at the Gulf Harbors Yacht Club in New Port Richey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the HPH Hospice Marliere Care Center, 6801 Rowan Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34653.
