Two Kyle men were arrested last week in separate incidents involving child sexual abuse, court records show.

John Irvin, 50, allegedly sexually assaulted a minor multiple times at his home in the Plum Creek RV Resort.

Around midnight on July 26, Irvin called police to report that his roommate had stolen his truck. When police contacted the roommate by cell phone, he claimed that he took the truck because Irvin had physically and sexually abused him, an affidavit used to secure an arrest warrant says.

The roommate agreed to drive to the police station, where he told a detective that he provided oral sex to Irvin while staying at his home. Some of the allegations occurred when the roommate was 16 years old, according to the affidavit, written by Kyle Police Det. Pedro Carrasco Jr.

IRVIN

On Aug. 2, Irvin was arrested for sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony. He has since been released from Hays County Jail on a $75,000 bond, records show.

In the other case, Alejandro Cervantes was arrested Aug. 3 for indecency with a child by sexual contact, also a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison.

A 13-year-old girl reported to police on July 11 Cervantes, 37, had touched her inappropriately numerous times while living in Corpus Christi and later at a Kyle home in the 100 block of Picadilly Drive, a second affidavit says.

In the most recent act, Cervantes allegedly entered the room of the victim’s brother where she was sleeping and molested her, says the affidavit, written by Kyle Police Det. Jacob Luria.

Cervantes has been released from jail on a $5,000 bond, records show.

Once again men faces all over the page but not mommy dearest from Lehman. She didn’t even have the charges filed under her married name. For those of you who say I can’t let this go, 4 other adults were in Whataburger Saturday evening after Lobo kickoff only to see her sitting on the lap of one of the football players and rubbing on him. Guess I just make too much of it.

What the hell is up with people in Hays county? Every time I look at the police blotter on this site there’s another case of sexual abuse against a child! I thought moving from a large city to Kyle would mean it was a little safer for my children, but was I ever wrong!

i have no clue what case you’re even referring to! there must not be any coverage anywhere. i did a google search and no cases involving a lehman mother, or even a hays county woman, involved in any sort of sexual allegations showed up. i wonder why that is?

Joshua, if I was allowed to put her name on here believe me everyone would know but if you have any doubts call Lehman or the District but they will tell you because of privacy laws they can’t discuss it. If you are truly concerned as it doesn’t seem like you really are, plenty of Lehman parents know about it.

I do not think the school district has any control over names that are put on this post. That is within the domain of the newspaper, and if they think statements are libelous they will certainly not run it, but it is not within the purview of the school district to censor what is put in the news media by non-school employees. I am not an attorney, and what I say should be checked, but I think it is time this situation receives more light than what has been provided.

Women who exploit/assault/molest should be exposed just like the men. Take the situation you witnessed to the Hays Co. DA’s office.
