There were around 140 Bulldogs gathered at the “old” Buda High School last Saturday spending time with old friends and reliving memories of the days that were. The classes of 1932, 1942, 1952 and 1962 were recognized. Robert Wilhite of Creedmoor catered a barbeque meal followed by a short program presided over by Jerry Evans of the class of 1962. Winning bidders in the silent auction were announced. The winner of the raffle drawing for the quilt was Putt Thompson of Montana. Thompson had asked his sister, Karry (Thompson) Matson to purchase tickets for him since he could not be there.
A big thank you to all the folks who worked to make the reunion most enjoyable for everyone. Special thanks to Judy (Thompson) Powell, Karry (Thompson) Matson, Connie (Conner) Armbruster, Janet (Rylander) Cauthron, Annette (Dennis) Chambers-Rodriguez and JoAnn (Dodgen) Thames for the many hours devoted to the making of the raffled quilt and pulling everything together for such a good time. Next year’s reunion will be Saturday, April 13, 2013. Hope you will be there.
