Hays All-District senior centerfielder and pitcher Trevor Ragsdale recently competed in the Austin Area Baseball Coaches Association Senior All-Star game played at Dell Diamond at Round Rock. Trevor went 2-for-2 in the game with two runs batted in and scored the tying runs in the sixth and eighth innings before his South team went on to lose a 14-10 shootout. Trevor was presented with the Gold Bat Award for the South team. Additionally, the South team was coached by Doug Ragsdale, who retired after 18 years at the helm of the Hays High program at the end of the 2012 season. Other Hays assistants coaching the team were Greg McCulley, David Null and Robert Gomez.
