Young library patrons of the Buda Public Library can show off their imagination and literary skills and perhaps be a winner in the summer essay-writing contest. The Friends of the Buda Library are hosting the contest, which is open to library cardholders between the ages of eight and 18 and living in Hays County. The essay deadline is Friday, July 27. For information stop by the library or visit www.FriendsoftheBudaLibrary.org and start writing, you just might be a winner. Robert Barton (right) was last spring’s adult short story contest winner.
