The design phase of the new Hays ACC campus is now complete, according to an update released by college officials yesterday.
Documents have been released for final review to the college’s commissioning agent, ACR Engineering, ACC departments, and the Plum Creek Architectural Review Committee. Comments are due August 17; an addendum will be issued following the review.
Site development drawings have been submitted to the City of Kyle for permit review. A pre-proposal workshop last week in Kyle for construction subcontractors drew more than 100 firms.
ACC has signed the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) with Flintco, the contractor on the project. The construction budget is set at roughly $26.4 million; this amount excludes all soft costs.
Officials estimated that groundwork on the new campus would begin by the end of August.
