Lehman High School Senior Parent Night
Senior Parent Night will be held Sept. 10 during the Lehman Back to School Night in the B-2 Den. There will be two information sessions presenting the same information, one at 7 p.m., the other at 7:30 p.m. This is the “Must Have Information” for all seniors and their parents. Attendees will learn about important senior dates, graduation, the college application process, and scholarship/financial aid information.
Dahlstrom Middle School field closed
The Dahlstrom Middle School field is closed until further notice; Hays CISD officials said the grass has been re-seeded and needs time to grow. The track surrounding the field is still open and available. Security will enforced while the field is closed.
Public forum to be held on school nutrition
The San Marcos Area League of Women Voters will host a public forum on school nutrition in the San Marcos CISD at 10 a.m. Sept. 15, at San Marcos High School, 2601 Rattler Road (East McCarty Lane). Mike Boone, associate director of child nutrition for the SMCISD, will give a presentation on the new nutrition regulations handed down by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and on the district’s efforts to meet those guidelines. A question and answer session will follow, along with samples of school breakfast and lunch items. Local non-profit organizations that focus on child nutrition will host information booths. The event is free and open to the public.
