Kyle Fire Department welcomes public to open house

The Kyle Fire Department held an open house for the public Oct. 13; firefighters offered tours, had a dunking booth and gave mini CPR trainings. Above, Leila, 1, and Adam, 8, Elyabouri of Kyle took a tour of one of the Kyle Fire Department trucks like the one their dad, volunteer firefighter Fattah, rides in when he’s on duty.

Negley Elementary third-grader Zach Collins is leading an effort in his community to raise more than $5,000 for the Hays County Food Bank’s “Turkey Tackling Hunger” campaign. He helped raise more than $3,000 last year. Community Relations Coordinator Jane Moore and staff member Jessica Buchoz were with Zach at the Kyle Fire Department’s open house.
