STAFF REPORT
Plum Creek continues to expand the health care options available within the development with Orchard Park of Kyle.
The new assisted living and memory-care community will be located on approximately five acres in Plum Creek, between Kyle Parkway (FM 1626) and the Plum Creek Golf Course and is expected to open at the end of 2013.
“Orchard Park is a great example of the variety of lifestyles and life stages that fit into the Plum Creek community,” says Brett Arabie, Partner at Oxford Commercial, who represented Plum Creek in the closing.
Orchard Park of Kyle will offer care for senior residents in need of support with their daily living tasks. Orchard Park of Kyle will consist of 75 units, some of which will have dual occupancy. The facility will serve 60 assisted living residents and 40 memory-care residents, who will reside in a secured wing of the community that is tailored to fit their specific needs.
Orchard Park will include dining and activities rooms, a large porch, indoor sitting areas, landscaped courtyards, fitness and wellness areas and therapy rooms.
Each of the assisted living units at Orchard Park will feature individual temperature controls, kitchenettes, step-in/sit-down showers, staff assistance-call stations, monitoring devices, and slip-resistant floor finishes.
The project is being developed by McFarlin Group in partnership with Stroud Development and will be managed by Meridian Senior Living.
Orchard Park of Kyle is one of three senior living facilities in Plum Creek. Legend Oaks Kyle opened in January 2011 and provides long-term and skilled care for up to 126 residents and the Overlook at Plum Creek, a 94-unit multifamily community for adults 55 and up, is scheduled to open in spring 2013.
