STAFF REPORT

Well, at least to Buda, this year marks the 33rd annual Budafest on the greenbelt in historic downtown Buda. The event kicks off 10 a.m. Dec. 1 with a parade down Main Street and goes until dusk (about 5:30 p.m.) Saturday and Sunday.

As always, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will arrive in the parade; photos with Santa and the missus will be near the gazebo for a small fee.

There is so much to do, you may need to attend both days. Enjoy a wide selection of locally prepared food, live music, antiques and more. Stroll through tents with more than 125 craft vendors to find the perfect holiday gifts, from jewelry to art to clothing and furniture. Pick up a collectible Buda T-shirt.

Don’t forget to check out the handmade quilt and purchase tickets to win it in a drawing; proceeds will help the Onion Creek Senior Citizens Center in Buda.

There is no entry fee for Budafest; lots of parking is available behind the pavilion at City Park and all funds raised benefit the Hays High School Project Graduation.
