If you’ve always wanted to be an angel, here is your chance to earn those wings. Nearly 70 children and teens are still waiting to be “adopted” by their very own Christmas angel.
Two organizations, Hope & Love 4 Kids and Hays CISD, have Angel Giving Trees where area residents can select a local child who could use a little Christmas magic this holiday season. Each card shows the age, gender and wish list for the child. The card includes specific needs and wants of each young person, to make your shopping easier.
The Hope & Love 4 Kids Angel Tree is at Kyle City Hall. More than 50 names are available. The tree started with more than 200 cards.
The Hays CISD Angel Tree still has about 15 students who need an angel, out of the original 88. The tree is located at the district’s central administration office in Kyle.
The Hope & Love 4 Kids donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts should be brought to the Kyle Economic Development Department located inside city hall by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18.
The Hays CISD requests that angels purchase, wrap and deliver the gifts to their adopted families. Contact information will be provided.
