Lt. Col. William Arthur Willcox, US Army (Ret), of San Antonio, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the age of 83. For over 25 years, he proudly served his country in the US Army. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marguerite A. Willcox and is survived by their children: William A. Willcox, Jr and wife, Belinda (Buda, TX); Linda Holt and husband, Tim (Spring Branch, TX) and Kevin Willcox and wife, Becky (San Antonio, TX); grandchildren: Shannon, Kevin, Trace, Caitlin, Kelley and Courtney; great-grandchildren: Skip William and Fiona. William’s life made a lasting impact on his family and on the people who knew him. He will be remembered as an extremely intelligent, highly energetic individual and devoted to his family. He was an exceptional man who touched the lives of all who knew him. Service with full military honors at 10 a.m. Dec. 27 at Dodd Field Chapel Bldg. Fort Sam Houston, TX. Interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
