On the first day of 2013, Kyle residents lined up at the Kyle community pool to splash in the new year. The annual Polar Bear Splash is open to everyone, though you can officially join the Kyle Polar Bear Club by contacting Kyle’s parks and recreation department. A $25 membership gets you a t-shirt, raffle ticket and your name on a plaque for the next splash. Below, Nina Cordova expresses her excitement before going into the pool, but not so much coming out.
