Matthew Allan Steen, 19, of Buda, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 3, 2013, in Austin. Matthew was born on July 21, 1993 to William Allan Steen and Donna Lynne Steen in Austin. He graduated from Hays High School in 2011.
Retired CW4 Adrian Figueroa Muñoz, Sr. age 79, of Kyle passed to join our heavenly father on Monday, January 1, 2013 at his residence surrounded in the love and presence of his family.
Vondelle Graef Martin, 74, of Creedmoor, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012. She was born on February 4, 1938, in Creedmoor, to Kolmar and Melda (Schaefer) Graef.
Carlton Leon “C. K.” Kelley, 58, of Kyle, formerly of Houston and Burnet, died Monday, December 31, 2012. He was an electrician by trade. Services were held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
Coby Tyler Craddick, age 28, of Manchaca, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was first a son, then a brother, and then a husband. Coby is survived by his loving parents, Kenneth and Wanda Shelton of Manchaca; brothers Kevin Wood of Buda and Casey Craddick of Austin; sister Ashley Craddick Montgomery of Huffman, TX and his wife, Corissa. Coby is also survived by nieces, nephew, extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all of us.

Well, Happy New Year to all y’all! Yeah, I know you’re s’posed to say that at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, but I don’t talk in my sleep. There was a time in yesteryear when I could stay up ‘til midnight, drinking cheap champagne and being obnoxious with my noisemaker. Now, as I reluctantly hobble into my golden years, I usually spend New Year’s Eve sitting in a recliner drinking box wine, and my obnoxious noisemaker is due to a mess of refried beans. I know in Times Square it means something different, but at my age, if the ball drops, it’s time to see your urologist.
