Over the past weekend, The Hays Lady Rebel Softball team claimed the Round Rock ISD Softball tournament championship, going 5-0 in the process.
Hays would defeat Del Valle, Navarro, Vista Ridge and Liberty Hill en route to the Championship Game, where the Rebels defeated Cedar Ridge 5-0. Hays improves to 11-1-1 overall with district play looming on the horizon.
The Rebels’ first district contest will be against crosstown rival Lehman on Tuesday evening, 7 p.m. at the Hays Softball field.
