This past weekend, the Lady Lobo softball team captured 2nd place in the Floresville softball tournament.
The Lobos defeated Poteet 8-2, Floresville 5-4, Highland 12-2 and Devine 7-6 before losing to Schertz Clemens 5-0 in the championship game.
Players of the tournament included Angel Cruz who was 8 for 14 with 9 RBI’s and she pitched 4 of the 5 games with a 3-1 record, Aleza Ruiz who was 5 for 9 with 3 doubles and 4 RBI’s, Irene Maldonado who hit a 3 run walk-off home run to defeat Devine and Jules Hernandez who was 2 for 3 with a double in the Championship game.
The Lady Lobos are next in action on Tuesday at 6PM with a district game vs Boerne Champion at Lehman HS.
