The Lehman Lady Lobo offense flexed their muscle on Wednesday evening, as the team soundly defeated Giddings 6-2.
Pressley Bailey, Mariah Tamayo and Max Soto all scored two goals in the win, which keeps the team in the hunt for second place in District 49-4A with a 7-2-2 record.
“(This victory) was an effort from all eleven players on the field tonight,” said Bailey. “We all did a great job on offense and defense.”
With Soto’s two goals, she now ties the Lehman single season goal scoring record of 21, which was set by Dominique Jaquez in 2009.
The Lady Lobos will play their final district game of the season on the road at Lockhart on Friday night. For a more in depth story, be sure to pick up next week’s edition of the Hays Free Press.
