‘How to Succeed’ opens Thursday
Do not miss the Hays CISD 5th Annual district musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” set for three consecutive 7 p.m. shows at the Performing Arts Center this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-6. All tickets are $10 and the public is advised to call and reserve tickets for the always-popular performance, directed by Malcolm Nelson. Kyle Winter Wonderland
Kyle Elementary enjoys its 2010 Winter Celebration this Thursday, Feb. 4, 6:30-7:30 p.m. The evening starts with a 6 p.m. dinner (Frito pie and lemonade) in the cafeteria, priced at $2 per person. Organizers invite attendees to “listen to wonderful winter stories and participate in winter activities like ice-skating, pictures with Frosty, roasting marshmallows and more.” For more information, call 268-3311.
Santa Cruz VIP breakfast set
Buda’s Santa Cruz Catholic School invites the public to a VIP Breakfast and Information Session this Friday, Feb. 5. at 8:30 for parents to learn more about the elementary school.
IT Showcase Logo sought
Entries continue to be accepted for “Our digITal world…Instructional Technology Showcase” logo design contest which invites students to create the focal graphic featured throughout the showcase. Lobo Project Graduation pushes pizza
Lehman High School Project Graduation hosts its (Buda) Pizza Hut Fundraiser Night next Thursday, Feb. 11, from 5-10 p.m. Redeem the necessary flyer (available online at www.loboproj2010.com) and Pizza Hut will donate 20% of your ticket to the Lehman High School Project Graduation celebration. It’s obviously a busy time for those Project Graduation folks, as the Lehman High committee hosts their Rummage Sale Saturday, Feb. 13, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Steeplechase Pavilion. Stars shine at raising funds
You just can’t keep those Stars down! The school district reports that Fuentes Elementary School was ranked #212 of more than 1,300 campuses nationwide doing fund raising for the American Diabetes Association. The ranking reflects funds raised for this critical cause during the 2008-2009 school year.
Hornets helps Haiti
Tom Green Elementary 3rd grade Market Day celebrating the end of their social studies economics unit will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4. Having studied supply and demand, production costs and budgeting, they’ll see it all come together on the big day. Proceeds from Market Day go to “Hornets With Wings,” a group of 5th grade students raising money for Haiti.
