There aren’t many classes in high school where you have to apply to get in, but at Lehman High School, incoming juniors and seniors not only apply, they have to take a prerequisite course and go through an interview process to be allowed into the Culinary Arts program.
October is breast cancer awareness month. Several local organizations are holding fundraisers and other events to raise awareness about breast cancer and its impact on women, and men, diagnosed with breast cancer. Much of the money raised at these events supports critical breast cancer screenings and mammograms. Grab your pink – and your wallet – and help make a difference.
Hays County health inspectors have released August reports for local food establishments and some eateries are keeping it clean, while others failed to make the grade.
