Recently I have been forced to stand back from the current political scene and take stock of my ability to absorb any more shrill pronouncements of patriotism from those who are not patriotic.

Will Louisiana ever be whole again? It’s note just BP that is causing the problem. The industry as a whole needs to be reviewed.
Civil servants? Some are not
Why in the world can’t we handle emergencies efficiently? What has happened to our vaunted pride in the government agencies that were established to come to our rescue?
