Money was spent to put in pedestrian crossings at the I-35/Kyle Parkway and I-35/Center Street lights, but those pedestrian crossing lights don't work. And even if they did, sidewalks basically don't exist. And don't try to walk on Lehman or Goforth because speeding traffic swerves at you and honks their horns when you try to walk. There's no shoulder or sidewalk on either street even though there are schools. And forget lights. I have e-mailed the mayor to complain about the lack of sidewalks and lights but the response of "$10,000 for sidewalks" was so ridiculous that when I told her $10,000 is nothing she stopped responding to my e-mails. When will the city either have police deal with speeders on those roads or give us lights and sidewalks? I am hoping it happens before someone is hit by a car.
