A Kyle teen arrested for murder in an April drive-by shooting was released on bond after he was booked into the Hays County Jail on his 17th birthday.
Jamez Gabriel Sanchez, 17, of Kyle, was booked into the Hays County Jail on one count of first-degree murder, according to jail records. Sanchez was released the next day on $100,000 bond.
Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett confirmed to the Hays Free Press that Sanchez was charged with first-degree murder in April in connection with a drive-by shooting in the Post Oak subdivision that killed Natanaell Bardales. Sanchez, who was 16 at the time of his arrest, was originally not identified by authorities and was booked into the Hays County Juvenile Detention Facility.
