Thomas Addison “Bubo” Coers, 84, of San Marcos, cherished and loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away in Dale, Texas on Saturday, May 19, 2007. He was born in San Marcos on May 3, 1923 to Alfonso O. and Elva Anna (Grosgebauer) Coers.
Thomas attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. in the Pacific Theater.
In 1986, Thomas retired from Southern Union Gas Company.
His parents, his wife, Bobbie Jackson Coers and a brother, Jerry Coers, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Tommy Coers and wife, Rosa Lee of McMahan; daughter, Suzanne Coers of Houston; sister Alberta Coers of Bryan; two grandchildren, Wes Coers of Utah, and Kim Herrera and husband, Jeff of Utah; and two great-grandchildren, Jalen and Anthony Herrera of Utah.
Memorial services were conducted on Wednesday, May 23, 2007.
