Congratulations to our new Buda Mayor Bobby Lane and new council members Ron Fletcher, Place 1 and Kelly Allen, Place 2.
We will have to wait until after the run-off election on June 14 to see who will fill the newly-created Place 6 on the council. Place 6 was created when Buda went to Home Rule last November. On the ballot for the runoff will be Billy Gray and Scott Dodd. Early voting will start June 2 and run until June 10.
Most everyone around this area likes history of our town and the Buda Methodist is no exception. Members of the church are in the process of updating and revitalizing the church history. Since there are a lot of folks in our community who have attended Buda Methodist at one time or another, especially some of the older citizens, there are many stories to tell or memories to share. Contact Pat Wood at 312-0424 or email her at scooterpm@aol.com to add your comments to the history of the church.
