Henrietta E. Franke, 80, of San Angelo, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2008.
She was born June 24, 1928, to Valentine and Annie Kubicek Kozelsky. She spent her younger years in Moulton, Texas and in 1942 her family moved to the Wall area. She married Bernie R. Franke pn September 16, 1948 and they spent 48 wonderful years together before his death in 1996. She is survived by her six loving children: Wayne T. Franke and wife, Gina of Buda; Ann Strube and husband, Al of Rowena; Karen White and husband, Andy of Austin; Teresa Wood and husband, James of San Angelo; Kye B. Franke and wife, Cheryl of San Angelo; and Brenda Kleypas and husband, Kyle of Kerrville; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren along with four sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and many more relatives and friends.
Henrietta spent her whole life in service, always doing for others first – in her family, her church and her community. Her family will certainly miss all her special touches especially her festive holiday dinners with her famous smoked turkey and brisket.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, August 2, at Holy Angels, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Her grandchildren served as pallbearers.
