Vincent Wade Lewis, 50, of Kyle, formerly of Austin, passed away January 23, 2009.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence (Dub) and Louise Lewis.
Vince is survived by wife of 22 years, Lupe; three sons, Andrew Robert, Cody Vincent, Joshua Lawrence; one daughter, Chelsie Rae Lewis; one sweet granddaughter, Melissa Gloria Ruiz; six brothers, Marty, Chris, Mike and wife Jo Kay, Stephen ad wife Angie Craft, Tim and wife Elsa, Joe and wife Tracee; three sisters Jane and husband Howard Tiechelman, Gene and husband Dr. Joe Guerra-Paz, Tricia and husband Julian Lopez; and a host of beautiful nephews and nieces and friends who will miss him dearly.
Vince graduated from Wm B. Travis High School. Most of his career was in the plumbing and piping wholesale industry and was employed at Ameripipe Supply Co. He was a four time champion at the Lewis Silver Dollar tournament. He was a gently spirit with great pride and love for his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Wed., Jan. 28 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 29, at St. Ignatius Catholic church, Austin, with Reverend Joseph A. Tomei, CSC officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
