Whodunit? The vicar is found stabbed in the locked library with only the African parrot as a witness. Whether your fancy is tickled by the cozy village mystery with a wonderful cross section of English or American eccentrics trailing red herrings, gritty urban police procedurals from Los Angeles, New York or Scandinavia, the literary fictions of James or Grimes or even the genial and fanciful mysteries solved by a reporter with an intuitive cat, the Buda Library has just the read for you. Ask our knowledgeable librarians for a recommendation. Look over the New Arrivals bookcase too.
When it is cold and rainy out, a spy thriller with an evil genius intent on world domination thwarted by clever agents may be just the crumpet with your cup of tea.
Perhaps you are ready for flight among the stars morphing with time-space anomalies and communicating with the most alien of outworlders. Are you in the mood for romance? The library has heartful selections from the sublime – Austin, Pilcher – to the mass market and frivolous. After your romantic interlude, you might like to use your skills in magic, swordplay and horsemanship to aid the elves or fight the overlord in the fantasy kingdom of your choice.
Our Buda Library has these sections of fiction and more – something for everyone from classic literature to comedy. Of course there is history, DIY, politics and inspiration. Come by the library. Now is the time for something entirely different. Enjoy.
