A rare snowfall hit Hays County Tuesday – coming, in true Texas style, hot on the heels of a gloriously warm and sunny weekend with temperatures in the 70s.
In the western half of the county, Hill Country residents reported heavy snowfall and some accumulation. But in Buda and Kyle, the fat falling snowflakes melted as they hit the ground. Still, the young and young at heart took the chance to play in the rare winter wonderland.
