Elidia Salazar Arriaga, 63, of Kyle (formerly of Austin) was born on August 30, 1946 and passed away peacefully on April 13, 2010.

She was preceded in death by mother Mary Easter Salazar, paternal and maternal grandparents and nephew Charles Siepert, Jr.

Elidia is survived by husband of 32 years, Salvador “Sandy” Arriaga, Jr.; children, Belinda Martinez (Juan Salazar), Joann Gutierrez (Mike Banda) and son Joseph Gutierrez (Barbara Neitzel); and first husband, Adolfo D. Gutierrez; her  beloved grandchildren, Kristy, Amy, Alex, Joe, Alyx, Jonathan, Micaela, Selena, Edward; 11 great-grandchildren; father, Alex Salazar and sisters, Stella, Virginia and Olga.

The family would like to give special thanks to Lilly Barnett, Nathan Thomas, Mike Jacquiz, Al Stephens, Jessica Stephens, all the staff of Harbor Hospice, Susan Garcia, Joe Rosales and all the family and friends that visited Elidia in the last days of her life.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, April 16, at San Jose Catholic Church, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
