The Chick-fil-A chain is opening a new restaurant in Kyle. To celebrate, they’re giving free food certificates to the first 100 people in line when the restaurant opens its doors on May 27.
Chick-fil-A’s “First 100 Celebration” is a signature event of each grand opening that began more than six years ago in Arizona. The chain’s loyal customers often arrive 24 hours in advance, no matter the location or weather conditions, officials say.
A few months back, an opening in San Marcos saw customers carrying tents, lawn chairs, computers, TVs and couches as they camped out. The tail-gate atmosphere is again expected at Kyle’s restaurant, officials added.
More than $26,000 in free food will be given away to the first 100 adults, age 18 and up, when the restaurant opens at 6 a.m. Each person will receive 52 meal certificates, equivalent to a year’s supply, a release said.
Officials say that the 4,287-square-foot restaurant in Kyle is also slated to bring in 65 new jobs.
