Kyle Chamber of Commerce
Kyle, Texas continues to see huge increases in sales tax revenue. The media in Central Texas has recently updated their coverage but we want to shine a little light on a few more items. Some of the things you might have missed are the bright AT&T signs that went up this month. Seton-Hays also recently opened another entire floor months ahead of schedule due to high demand. While we are thrilled about McDonald’s opening, the cute moo cows of Chick-fil-A, Austin Orthopedic and many others opening soon at FM 1626 and IH-35, we are also excited about other areas of Kyle.
The Texas Pie Company continues to draw huge crowds and was recently featured in a regional publication. The Motley has some very yummy treats on freshly baked bread, Luvianos has great music and food and is celebrating three years in business.
Milt’s BBQ continues to offer great food and live music most every weekend. Shipley’s Donuts is seeing returning customers exploring the wall of yum. Total Child Therapy Center on old Hwy. 81 is providing needed services. And last, but not least, Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital is hosting a grand opening this Saturday next to Austin Regional Clinic.
On August 3, the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau will be holding our monthly BASH/mixer at Wilson Insurance from 6-8 p.m. Bring your hula skirts as we are having a luau theme. The event is free and open to the public.
Kyle Market Days takes place August 7 downtown in City Square Park, and features a free concert by Ranch Road 12 from 9-11 a.m. and Blake & Fallon from noon-2 p.m. To preview the music visit www.kylechamber.org and click on the banner ad near the bottom.
We are also looking forward to another great State of the City luncheon featuring Mayor Lucy Johnson and Interim City Manager James Earp. This one takes place August 24 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hays Performing Arts Center and will surely sell out, so RSVP at info@kylechamber.org or by calling 512-268-4220.
