Doris S. Munselle, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Kingsland, Texas after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born in Ben Wheeler, Texas to Ben and Bessie Shackleford on August 4, 1932.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ormand and husband Bill of Buda; grandsons Brad, Blake and wife Alonna, and Brent and fiancee Melissa Yarbrough; one son, Steve Munselle and wife Julie, grandsons Steven, Eric and wife Rebecca and granddaughter April. Also surviving are two brothers, Joe Shackelford, Al and wife Jan, and one sister, Wanda Kramer and husband Leonard along with numerous other family members and friends.

Doris worked at Montgomery Ward as Personnel Director for many years and later worked for the Hays CISD. She loved working with the staff and students. She loved to read, cook, enjoyed helping others and dearly loved her family. Doris was a fun-loving, devoted “Mimi” to her grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Driftwood Community Center on FM 150, behind the Driftwood Methodist Church.
