The Buda Downtown Merchants Group is looking for interested farmers and gardeners to come to Buda to sell their produce and goods. The Merchants Group is making plans to revitalize the Buda Farmers Market to provide local residents and businesses of the community with the freshest, highest quality, most nutritious and most reasonably priced produce and goods. Members of the Buda Lions Club, along with their spouses, were treated to an evening meal at the Onion Creek Senior Citizens Center on Monday night at the senior center. The senior group wanted to show their appreciation to the members of the Lions Club for all the help they have given them with their many fundraisers.

The new school year will begin at Santa Cruz Catholic School on Monday, August 16. Activity will pick up at all our Hays CISD schools on Thursday, August 12 with the official start date for staff. Hays CISD students start classes on Monday, August 23.

Friends and family gathered at the Cedar Park home of Beth Lawhon’s daughter and helped her celebrate the big birthday. Beth turned 60 on Aug. 2.
