Cynthia (Bryant) Hamood, of Elkhart went home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Cynthia was born July 3 in Chicago to Freddie and Wilhelmina Bryant.
She leaves behind her parents and four siblings, Ray (Sandra) Bryant of Kyle, Robert (Peggy) Bryant of Elkhart, Rudy (Sandra) Bryant of Atlanta and Eric (Joyce) Bryant of Chicago. Also surviving are her children, Vanessa Phillips of Mishawaka, Kenny Phillips of South Bend, Kelli Phillips of South Bend, Isaac Poole of Elkhart and Keianna Poole of Elkhart. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are three grandchildren, Nykeria, David and Jeremiah, and her special niece, who is like a daughter, Tasha R. Bryant of Orlando, FL. Surviving as well are a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, plus other relatives and her church family.
Her brother, Kenny Bryant, and nephew, JR Bryant, as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents preceded her in death.
Cynthia loved the lord. She was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost (Spirit) at Christ Temple, Cassopolis, Mich. Her behavior represented total faith in her lord and savior. She was very family-oriented, enjoyed family reunions and holidays and was a strong fighter when it came to her family. She enjoyed helping others and teaching children. She was also caring, a great graphic designer and loved to share with others. She was a lover of the Word (Bible). She loved studying and reading, sewing and designing in her spare time. Her favorite phrase was “All is well,” and her favorite color was purple.
A celebration service was held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana, with interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
