Managing diabetes class at San Marcos Library
The San Marcos Library will offer a four-week series on diabetes and how to manage it. Participants will gain the ability to better manage their diabetes through lifestyle awareness, diet and nutrition, exercise, medication knowledge and goal setting. Presenter Don Bounds is a health care professional specializing in diabetes and will also answer questions. Classes are on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Nov. 20 – Dec. 11. Texas Author Day at San Marcos Library
Join the San Marcos Public Library from 2- 5 p.m. Nov. 18 for the Ninth Annual Texas Author Day. Meet more than 40 Texas authors who will be on hand to sign books and chat with fans. Books may be purchased at the event from the Texas State University Bookstore or from the authors themselves. Several authors will also read from their works.
De-stress at the library
Take a Stress Management Workshop at 7:00 p.m. Nov. 27 at the San Marcos Public Library. Participants will learn a basic understanding of the causes of stress and how these causes impact mental, physical and emotional health and well being.
