Officers from the Kyle Police Department inspect a pickup truck involved in a fatal two-car collision on Tuesday. According to Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett, a call was placed to Kyle police regarding a collision along Bebee Road near Republic Drive around 5 a.m. The accident involved a black Chevy S10, which was traveling west bound toward I-35 on Bebee Road, and a gold Ford F-350, traveling east. The S10 was driven by Ernesto Galicia Benavides, 37, of Kyle, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the F-350 survived with minor injuries. The injuries were treated at the scene and the driver released. Barnett said the cause of the accident remains under investigation. (Photo by Moses Leos III)
