Vernell “Sug” Garrett Moehle, 84, passed on April 8, 2014 in Austin, Texas.
She was born to Gordon Darrell Garrett and Lillian Moehle on September 14, 1929, in Willow City, Texas.
Vernell attended schools in Kerrville, Boerne and Fredericksburg. She worked at the Princess Drive in Houston, Hills Café as a waitress in Austin and retired from Goulds in Marble Falls. She loved playing bingo and won often.
Sug was living with her sister Barbara in Dripping Springs when she passed away, but had previously lived with her stepson, Steven and his wife, Kimberly, in Marble Falls. Steven and Kimberly were especially kind to Sug and she loved them dearly.
Vernell is preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Moehel Collins; father, Gordon Garrett; husband, Charles Moehle; and daughter, Diana Rae Harris Hooper.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Collins Hampton and husband, Steve, of Dripping Springs; step-sister, Yvonne Gower of Washington State; step-son, Steven Moehle and wife, Kimberly, of Marble Falls; step-daughter, Yvonne Chesser and husband, Bucky, of Katy; grandchildren, Kevin Hooper of Houston, Brittanne Couch, James Couch, Nathan Couch and Emma Moehle from Marble Falls and Luke Chesser of Katy; nieces and nephews, Richard Hampton, Sr., Vernoon Hampton, Rebecca Hampton, Elizabeth Wilkerson; great nieces and nephews, Hunter Hampton, Brittney Hampton, Ashlee Hampton, Shelby Wilkerson, Emory Wilkerson, Remington Wilkerson, Ciara Hampton, Mark Anthony Wilkerson, Shea Wilkerson, Joe Wilkerson, Gary Dailey and Richard Hampton, Jr. Sug loved all of her grandchildren and nieces and nephews, but was especially fond of little Emma Moehle.
A memorial Service will be held in May.
