Kyle, Hays CISD election results

Kyle voters returned both incumbents to office, and the race for a mayor continues.
Todd Webster led both Brad Pickett and James Adkins in the early and Election Day vote, but fell short of clinching the city’s highest elected office.
Webster received 505 votes (43.53 percent), and will face Brad Pickett in a runoff election. Pickett took 369 votes (31.81 percent) and James Adkins received 286 votes (24.66 percent).
District 2 incumbent Becky Selbera kept her seat by seven votes, receiving 189 total ballots in her favor (50.94 percent). Challenger Jaime Sanchez’s took 182 votes (49.06 percent).
District 4 incumbent David Wilson led his challenger Laurie Luttrell by double-digit margins through the early vote and into the Election Day, breezing into reelection by 62 total votes. Wilson received 299 votes (55.78 percent), and Luttrell garnered 237 votes (44.22 percent).

Hays CISD at-large incumbent Sandra Bryant narrowly missed clinching a victory outright and will head into a runoff election against challenger Will McManus.
Bryant received 995 votes (48.44 percent), while McManus garnered 870 votes (42.36 percent). A third candidate in that race, Letty Vasquez-Jones, had a dismal showing in the race, pulling 189 votes (9.20 percent).
Hays CISD school board president, Willie Tenorio won reelection Tuesday night. He received 233 votes (68.73 percent) in the District 1 race, while his opponent, Miguel Zuniga, took 106 votes (31.27 percent).
The Hays CISD District 2 spot, which had no incumbent, was granted to Teresa Tobias by school district voters. Tobias received 262 votes (68.77 percent), while her opponent Jessie Espinoza took 119 votes (33.23 percent.)
School district voters resoundingly approved a $59.1 million bond. The bond received 1368 votes (63.1 percent), and 800 votes (36.92 percent) against.
