It’s Casino night this Saturday, June 28 at the Onion Creek Senior Citizens Center in Buda. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for check-in and games begin at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door, which includes games, food and soft drinks (BYOB). Proceeds will benefit the senior center at 420 Barton’s Crossing.
Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) is an international weight loss organization with local chapters and real people helping each other achieve permanent weight loss through sharing in a common goal. The Buda chapter meets every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Buda Library Meeting Room. Men, women and youth are all invited … what have you got to lose?
Ann Moreland will teach a free exercise class at Onion Creek Senior Center on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. The first Tuesday class will be July 1 and due to the July 4 holiday, the first Friday class will be July 11. All are invited to participate.
Julie and Mike Dees celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6 and Jean and Joe Mac Jones will have been married 67 years on June 28. Congratulations to both couples.

Looking for a place to take your paper recycling? If so, there is a container just south of Buda City Hall on Main Street across from Garcia’s. Please just put paper in the container NOT plastic, glass, metals, cardboard or trash.
Come to downtown Buda for “First Thursday” of the month on July 3 and enjoy the offerings of our historical district. Many of the shops will be open late for shopping and you can find a good meal at one of the various downtown restaurants.
