District Leadership Team nominees needed
Hays CISD’s District Leadership Team (DLT) serves as an advisory committee to provide input to the superintendent throughout the school year. The committee is comprised of teachers, non-teaching professionals, parents, and business and community members as outlined in board policy. Committee members serve staggered terms. The committee is seeking nominations from the following categories for 2014-15:
Two parents
Two business members
Two community members (community members are residents that do not have children enrolled in Hays CISD schools)
The nomination form is available on the Hays CISD website. Call 512-268-2141, ext. 8281 with any questions.
Completed nomination forms for nominees are due in the Hays CISD Central Office by 4:30 p.m., on September 5, 2014. A public drawing for the parent, community and business positions will be held on September 11, 2014, at 4:30 p.m., in the Hays CISD Professional Development office at 21003 IH 35 in Kyle, Texas.
‘Let’s Talk’ debuts in September
Starting September 2014, Hays CISD will have a new feature called “Let’s Talk.” The initiative will provide a new way for parents and community members to communicate directly with Superintendent Mike McKie and other district leaders by sending a message anytime, anywhere, and on any device. When Let’s Talk goes live, you can join the conversation or check out what the district is saying about common themes.
