It may be August, but the district volleyball season is underway for the Hays Lady Rebel and Lehman Lady Lobos. Hays opened 14-6A play with a 25-22, 25-17, 25-22 win on Tuesday. Senior Shannon Park had a game high 11 kills, while senior Kathryn Wristen registered 33 assists. Freshman Ashley Slovak had 20 digs. Meanwhile, the Lady Lobos dropped their district opener to Austin High 4-25, 15-25, 12-25.
