Four total touchdowns from Lake Travis Cavalier running back Abe Willows was too much for the Lehman Lobos in a 51-14 loss on Friday.
Lake Travis came out fast with three first half touchdowns from Willows. Lehman battled back just before halftime with a successful drive.
A double pass went from third string quarterback JR Torres to Jaren Sayles, and then from Sayles to Brett Wagner for 33 yards. Two plays later, Torres found Sayles, who broke two tackles for a 27 yard touchdown.
Lake Travis flew down the field on the ensuing drive and scored in just 30 seconds to take a 27-7 lead at halftime.
Willows caught another pass from Lake Travis quarterback Dominic De Lira and took it 53 yards for his fourth touchdown of the game.
After going down 48-7, Lobos’ Wagner replaced Torres at quarterback due to an injury. From 31 yards out, Wagner found a huge hole and took it all the way for a score.
However, Lehman would not score again and Lake Travis added a field goal to seal the win.
