According to Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett, one suspect shown in the photos was placed under arrest early Thursday evening. Police have leads on two other individuals, one of whom was pictured, who are connected to the Oct. 4 attempt to pawn items stolen in a recent home burglary.
At 5:20 p.m., Kyle Police placed Javan Bunton, 18, of Kyle, under arrest on burglary of a habitation and burglary of a vehicle charges. Bunton was pictured as wearing a black hoodie with a yellow design.
Barnett said Bunton arrived at the Police Department earlier in the afternoon. After meeting with detectives, arrest warrants were issued for Bunton.
Detectives are continuing to follow leads on the two other individuals.
Barnett expressed his gratitude for the tips that poured into the Police Department identifying the suspects.
“We want to thank the public for the tremendous response from our postings on social media and on the Hays Free Press,” Barnett said.

Kyle police determined the identity of one individuals in the photographs, accoridng to Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett.
“The individual in the black hoodie shirt with a yellow design has been interviewed by the Kyle Police Department today,” he said in an email. “We want to thank the Kyle community for their quick assistance. We have received many tips in this case as a result of the bulletin.”

The Kyle Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who attempted to pawn stolen items.
On Oct. 4, at approximately 12:30 p.m, the suspects attempted to pawn items stolen in a recent home burglary. The suspects left the shop in a black Chrysler 200.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects are asked to call Det. Watson at 512-268-0859.
