Of all the charities in Hays County, San Marcos resident Pat Price decided he wanted to amplify the Hays Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC). He will donate to HCWC through Amplify Austin, a 24-hour online giving campaign. Created several years ago, the event helps nonprofit organizations reach a broad audience and raise what can be a significant amount of funding to support its programs. According to Melissa Rodriguez with HCWC, St. David’s Foundation is matching all donations made to HCWC, making each contribution go twice as far. 

And the need is great, she said.

“Last year, HCWC provided direct face to face services to 1,766 local victims of abuse in Hays and Caldwell counties,” Rodriguez said.

Amplify Austin is scheduled for March 5 – 6, but donors can preschedule online giving. Visit www.hcwc.org to learn more.
