Reba Mae Gross, 85, of Buda, Texas, was called to be with her Lord and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 20, 2015.
Reba was born July 6, 1929, in Rule, Texas to Lonnie and Annie Inez (Caffey) Stovall. She grew up in Stanton, then moved to Big Spring when she married Ted Gross. After raising three children, she and Ted relocated to Lake Buchanan. Reba moved to Buda 10 years ago to be closer to her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son in-law Donnie Phillips, her sister Mildred Stovall Currie, and three brothers, Blanton, Travis and Wayne.
Reba is survived by brother Neil Stovall and wife Barbara of Houston, TX, daughter Karen Young, of Round Rock, TX, daughter Sandra Phillips, of Loraine, TX, son Larry Gross and wife Anne of Buda, TX, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Reba was a homemaker for most of her life and a devoted mother always.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Hays Hills Baptist Church where Reba was a member.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with a special thanks to Trish, Jamison, and Lance, as well as a heartfelt thanks to Patty, Sylvia, and Beverly of Altus Hospice.
