After navigating through the permitting process from the Kyle Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council, promoters for a planned circus in Kyle may not make a stop in town after all.
On Tuesday, Central Texas Speedway co-owner Meredith Murray said the promoter for Circus Aguilar was “not going to make it” to Kyle. The promoter’s move closes a process that began in March when they and CTS applied for a conditional use permit.
Originally, CTS partnered with Circus Aguilar to hold the circus from May 14-18.
While no official reason was given, Murray said as of now, “the circus isn’t happening.”
“We were excited to bring the circus to the City of Kyle and the community,” Murray said. “We’re disappointed, but we’re not hurting or anything like that.”
