Alfred E. Moore of Huntsville, Texas passed away on April 19, 2015. Al is survived by his wife of 46 years, Winona Netterville “Wynn” Moore and his three children; Gabriel Moore (Julie), Jonathan Moore MD (Kim), Annette Green (Scott), 8 grandchildren and a brother, Robert Moore of Salem, Oregon.
Al is a graduate of Harding University with both BS and MA degrees. He coached high school football, baseball, basketball and taught history in Centreville, Mississippi and Reedsport, Oregon. Al served in the Houston Police Department and served as police chief in Klein ISD until his retirement in 2000.
He served as police chief in Kyle, Texas, followed by interim positions as chief of police throughout central Texas. He served as consultant, board member, author and professor of criminal justice.
Known for his integrity, honesty and work ethic, Al Moore will always be remember as the consummate law enforcement professional. Having lived a faithful life into death, raising faithful children, Alfred Moore is now with the Lord having been found precious in His site. Psalms 116:15
