Red Cross, Central Texas VOAD and Hays County team up to help families impacted by floods
The American Red Cross, Central Texas Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) and Hays County are joining forces to open two Multi-Agency Resource Centers for anyone impacted by the severe storms and flooding. At the resource centers, people can sit down one-on-one with Red Cross workers to begin their recovery process, plus meet other relief organizations offering recovery assistance.
Recovering from a disaster can be a confusing process and it’s not always easy for people to find the help they need. The resource centers will bring all of the nonprofit organizations and government agencies together in one convenient location to provide support. Clean up supplies, hot meals, emotional counseling and health services will also be available at the resource centers.
